Booking & Reservations

How do I book a safari with Evya Adventures?

You can easily book your Tanzanian safari online through our secure website, by phone, or via email. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a detailed itinerary and a payment schedule. Our team is always available to assist with customizing your safari experience.

Can I customize my safari itinerary?

Yes! Evya Adventures specializes in fully customizable safari packages. You can select your preferred national parks, the duration of your safari, accommodation types, and optional activities such as hot air balloon rides, cultural visits, or private game drives.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and select online payment platforms. Payment schedules vary by package, usually requiring a deposit to secure your booking and the remaining balance prior to your arrival in Tanzania.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. A deposit is required to confirm your booking, which ensures your preferred accommodations and safari dates are reserved. The remaining balance is typically due 30–60 days before the start of your safari, depending on your package.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, changes and cancellations are possible, though fees may apply depending on timing and policy. We recommend reviewing our flexible cancellation terms, especially during peak safari season (June–October), to plan your trip with confidence.

Travel & Preparation

Do I need a visa to visit Tanzania?

Most travelers require a visa to enter Tanzania. Visas can usually be obtained online (e-visa) or on arrival at Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar airports, depending on your nationality. Check the Tanzanian embassy website for the latest requirements before traveling.

What vaccinations or health precautions are needed?

Travelers should ensure routine vaccines are up to date and consider vaccines for yellow fever, hepatitis A and B, and typhoid. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended when visiting safari destinations such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro, or Tarangire. Consult your doctor at least 4–6 weeks before travel.

What is the best time to go on a safari?

The dry season, from June to October, is ideal for game viewing because animals gather near water sources, making sightings easier. January–February is excellent for witnessing the Serengeti calving season, while March–May is the wet season, offering lush landscapes and fewer tourists.

What should I pack for my safari?

Essentials include lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, sturdy walking shoes, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. Bring a light jacket for early morning and evening drives, and a swimsuit if your lodge or hotel has a pool.

Is travel insurance required?

While not legally required, comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended. It should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost luggage, and evacuation. Safari travel involves remote locations, so insurance ensures peace of mind throughout your journey.

Safari Experience & Logistics

What types of accommodations are available on a safari?

Evya Adventures offers a range of accommodations, including luxury lodges, mid-range lodges, and tented camps inside or near Tanzania’s national parks. Lodges offer modern amenities, while tented camps provide an authentic safari experience close to nature.

Will I see the Big Five on my safari?

Sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos are possible but not guaranteed, as wildlife roam freely. Our expert guides optimize your safari route to increase your chances, and our itineraries focus on areas known for high concentrations of the Big Five.

Are safaris suitable for children or elderly travelers?

Yes, many of our safaris are family-friendly and suitable for older travelers. We can customize the itinerary to reduce long drives and include shorter game drives or lodge-based activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages.

How long are daily game drives?

Typical game drives last 4–6 hours, including stops for photography, refreshments, and scenic viewpoints. Full-day drives with picnic lunches are offered in parks like Serengeti or Ngorongoro, allowing you to experience the wilderness without rushing.

Are meals and drinks included during the safari?

Most safari packages include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with non-alcoholic drinks. Specialty packages may offer alcoholic beverages. Meals are often freshly prepared at lodges or camps, showcasing local Tanzanian cuisine alongside international dishes.
