Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your lodge in Arusha. You will embark on a scenic drive to Arusha National Park while carrying lunch boxes for your convenience. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive from the comfort of your safari vehicle and follow it with a walking safari led by a knowledgeable park ranger. This allows you to experience the park’s unique ecosystems and get closer to the wildlife. Arusha National Park is home to species such as black-and-white colobus monkeys, elephants, Cape buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. The park’s landscapes range from open savannahs to acacia scrublands and lush rainforests, and Mount Meru dominates the horizon with attractions like the Ngurdoto Crater and picturesque waterfalls. After breakfast, you will be collected from your lodge and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive, with packed lunch boxes provided for convenience. Tarangire is renowned for its massive elephant herds and iconic giant baobab trees. Its landscapes vary from seasonal swamps to expansive savannahs, with the Tarangire River flowing through the park as a vital water source during the dry season. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and, with some luck, lions or leopards. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will transfer to Kankari Lodge for dinner and overnight. Following breakfast, your journey continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive amid one of Africa’s most diverse ecosystems. The crater is home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and black rhinos. Birdlife is abundant, with flamingos populating the crater lakes. The unique volcanic landscape offers stunning scenery while you explore grasslands, forests, and soda lakes. After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive, carrying lunch boxes. This small but remarkably diverse park is known for its tree-climbing lions, vast baboon colonies, and abundant birdlife. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, and buffaloes. At the hippo pool, you can step out of your vehicle to stretch your legs and observe the hippos in their natural habitat.
